Aida’s Story with Art
Aida’s first love was art, but she was taught that art was not a path to pursue. So she pursued being an Economist. After being one, life sent her a wake up call by becoming semi-paralyzed for 4.5 years overnight.
This unexpected turn of events brought her back to her true love - Art. When told she had 3 months left to use her hands she decided to truly live. She painted with her fingers and never looked back.
Approach to Art
-
Aida is an abstract visual artist. She chose abstraction because she believes the imagination needs room — room to wander, to arrive somewhere unexpected, to find what logic cannot reach. Her style shifts with wherever she is in life. There is no single signature. Only the current chapter.
-
Her muse is a question: What would the world look like if Earth were the best possible place to live — and to be alive in? What would the world be if we were all truly delighted? Loved, and loving? Nature guides her — not as subject matter, but as teacher. She sees in it a living example of harmony and belonging. Her work is an act of imagining our best possible lives, and insisting they are real.
-
Intuition is her guide. Aida paints with her fingers, moving across seven to thirteen canvases at once — not from the mind, but from flow. She works in acrylic, drawing on the elements of the earth: water immersion, candle wax, and what the materials themselves decide.
